Softball Recap: Fatima Comes Up Short

Fatima fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against North Callaway on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 4-3. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Fatima's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for North Callaway, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Fatima will square off against Hallsville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Callaway, they will challenge Silex at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Owls' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Thunderbirds' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
