The Kennedy Cougars entered their tilt with the Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) Panthers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Kennedy walked away with a 51-40 win over Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) on Thursday.
Kennedy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Magdalena Paloma, who scored 13 points. Paloma continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Leilani Richards was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA), their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Chavez at 11:00 a.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA), they will be playing at home against Shalhevet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Shalhevet will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
