Baseball Recap: Paulding County Comes Up Short

Paulding County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Harrison Hoyas, falling 15-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Tucker White was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Paulding County's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 3-1 (and 2-11 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Benitez, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Paulding County's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Harrison, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

While Paulding County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.
