Softball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southeast Whitfield County Raiders. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Southeast Whitfield County, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-17.

While Woodland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
