Soccer Recap: Apalachee Comes Up Short

The Apalachee Wildcats came up short against the Morgan County Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Apalachee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Morgan County are ranked 99th).

Apalachee dropped their record down to 4-9-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Morgan County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apalachee will square off against Winder-Barrow at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morgan County, they will take on Pike County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pike County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Morgan County surely won't give up without a fight.
