Softball Recap: NEN vs. Central City Bison
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact NEN can now relate to. They fell 7-4 to the Central City Bison on Thursday. NEN was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Central City earlier this season, when they won 3-2.
Riley Ross made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
NEN has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-12 record this season. As for Central City, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.
NEN does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central City, they will square off against Yutan-Mead at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bison 3.5, the Patriots 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
