Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Scotts Valley

Scotts Valley won the last time they faced Carmel and things went their way on Monday too. The Scotts Valley Falcons enjoyed a cozy 48-31 win over the Carmel Padres. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Scotts Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooklyn Williams, who posted 18 points and five rebounds. Williams has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Samantha Rebbert was another key player, putting up seven points along with seven assists and seven steals.

Scotts Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory (which was Scotts Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. As for Carmel, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Scotts Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-21 win against James Lick on the 7th. As for Carmel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-20 victory against North Salinas on the 8th.
