Basketball Recap: North Monterey County Finds Playoff Glory Versus King City

North Monterey County had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down the King City Mustangs 54-40 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Condors in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

King City's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Amity Hearne, who posted eight points and 12 boards, and Alizah Carrillo, who put up 13 points and five steals. Carrillo is becoming a predictor of King City's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 3-1 (and 8-13 when she doesn't).
