Basketball Recap: Rancho Dominguez Takes a Loss

Rancho Dominguez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the San Pedro Pirates and fell 58-4. The Lobos were probably out for revenge after losing 81-21 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Among those leading the charge was Jayda Sanford, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Madison Adrid, who put up 12 points.

Rancho Dominguez's record now sits at 1-11. As for San Pedro, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancho Dominguez will host Carson at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Carson will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Rancho Dominguez surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Pedro, they will welcome Gardena at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
