Softball Game Preview: Coosa Eagles vs. Dade County Wolverines

Coosa hasn't had much luck against Dade County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will head out to square off against the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. Coosa has given up an average of 14.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Coosa fell victim to Gordon Lee and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 18-0.

Meanwhile, Dade County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They never let the Lions get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Wolverines' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four contests.

Coosa's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Dade County, their win bumped their record up to 21-4.

Coosa might still be hurting after the 19-0 defeat they got from Dade County in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
