Softball Recap: Pickens Falls to Lumpkin County in First Game of Season

Pickens unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lumpkin County Indians on Thursday. The Dragons have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The win was the third in a row for Lumpkin County, bringing their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pickens will take on rival Dawson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lumpkin County is set to challenge their familiar foe Chestatee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
