Soccer Game Preview: Vacaville vs. Pioneer

The Vacaville Bulldogs will take on the Pioneer Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vacaville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Last Thursday, Vacaville got the win against Rodriguez by a conclusive 5-1. Considering the Bulldogs have won six games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Rodriguez with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sophia Franzoni (3), Samantha Macniven, and Katie Thomas.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Pioneer was not quite Wood's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vacaville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four contests. As for Pioneer, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
