Soccer Game Preview: Belmont vs. Robert F. Kennedy Community

Belmont hasn't had much luck against Robert F. Kennedy Community recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Belmont Sentinels will face off against the Robert F. Kennedy Community Bobcats at 2:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Belmont is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Mendez, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, the Sentinels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 970th, while the Jaguars are ranked 465th).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Robert F. Kennedy Community was forced to settle for a draw. They and Roybal finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

With that draw, Robert F. Kennedy Community's record moves to 5-2-1. As for Belmont, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Belmont might still be hurting after the 6-1 defeat they got from Robert F. Kennedy Community in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Belmont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
