Basketball Recap: Covenant Classical Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Covenant Classical extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-6. They took a blow against the North Hills Christian Eagles, falling 73-32. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Covenant Classical still got an impressive performance from Ian LeJeune, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Knarr, who had four points and five rebounds.

As for North Hills Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3. That looming 73-32 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Maverick Ball was his usual excellent self, shooting 75% from the field on his way to 29 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. His big performance that evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Adarion Hawkins was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 10 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Covenant Classical will venture away from home to challenge Weddington Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Hills Christian, they will challenge Arborbrook Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
