Soccer Recap: Lincoln Victorious

Lincoln kept a clean sheet against West on Wednesday. They skirted past the West Wolfpack 1-0. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Wolfpack are ranked 621st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lincoln's one-goal win came courtesy of Lily Garcia, who's now up to six this season.

Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 9-1-1. As for West, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will venture away from home to challenge Lodi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lodi's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for West, they will head out on the road to square off against Tracy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
