Baseball Recap: Hearts Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Hearts Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Victory Baptist Warrior on Friday, falling 18-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since March 18th.

Rylee Mobley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Dyson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Hearts Academy and nudges their season record down to 16-5. As for Victory Baptist, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Hearts Academy nor Victory Baptist have any future games scheduled.
