Baseball Recap: B O L D Takes a Loss

B O L D had lost seven straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 7-13 to make it eight. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Falcons. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2021.

As for Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games.

For Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City's part, Reagan Elton made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Elton also tossed no walks, which is notable because Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-11 otherwise. Elton was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Scott Saue, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Straumann, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

As of now, neither B O L D nor Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City have any future games scheduled.
