The Waxahachie Indians will face off against the Chapin Huskies at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Waxahachie is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since November 16, 2024 on Saturday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 77-76 win over Carter. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Waxahachie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brockston 'Brock' Moore led the charge by going 6-for-7 to rack up 20 points. Thanks to that strong game, Moore now owns an excellent 51.9% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Gatewood, who shot 45% from the field en route to 25 points along with five assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, Chapin was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 68-62 to Eastlake.

Chapin has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Waxahachie, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
