Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Westfield School walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the John Milledge Academy Trojans a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Westfield School, bringing their record up to 17-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for John Milledge Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.
