Softball Recap: McCook Comes Up Short

McCook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Crete Cardinals, falling 14-2.

McCook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cassidy Rogers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Peyton C. also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

McCook's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Crete, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

McCook wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 win against Gering on the 6th. As for Crete, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-4 victory against Ashland-Greenwood on the 6th.
