Baseball Recap: Westover Comes Up Short

Westover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Bainbridge Bearcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 19-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Westover saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordyn Shorter, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Shorter has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Westover's record now sits at 0-13. As for Bainbridge, they moved to 5-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Westover had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
