Soccer Game Preview: Westover vs. Peach County

The Westover Patriots will challenge the Peach County Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Westover has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Peach County will arrive with six straight victories.

Westover fell victim to Bainbridge and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Bearcats. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Bearcats are ranked 133rd).

Meanwhile, Peach County got the win against Dougherty on Friday by a conclusive 5-2. The result was nothing new for Peach County, who have now won four matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Peach County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five games. As for Westover, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
