Recent Tennessee commit Ethan Davis was the team's second leading receiver with nearly 800 yards receiving and eight touchdowns. He checks in as the seventh-rated tight end on 247Sports composite rankings for the Class of 2023.

Senior edge rusher Asani Redwood led the way for one of the best defenses in the country racking up 116 tackles, 43 tackles for loss and a school-record 19 sacks. He also forced four fumbles. Roberto Bryant (133) and Rich Dorsey (101) both racked up over 100 tackles this season while Dion Crawford (13.5) and Jaylen George (10) posted double-digit sack totals.

Graham-Kapowsin was just as dominant in Washington this year. The Eagles won every game by at least 16 points and outscored the opposition 647-74. The Eagles beat Lake Stevens 44-7 in the 4A state championship for the school's first title.

Starting senior quarterback Joshua Wood was named the MaxPreps Washington Football Player of the Year after throwing for over 2,200 yards and 31 touchdowns. The three-star QB added 500-plus yards rushing and 10 scores.

The Eagles have one of the top offensive lines in high school football led by Vega IIoane, Curtis Hill and Hunter Hill.

Graham-Kapowsin was named our preseason top-team in Washington and went wire-to-wire as the No. 1 team in Washington and are one of the first five teams out of the MaxPreps Top 25 rankings. A win on Saturday in Las Vegas would get the Eagles into Dec. 20's final rankings.

The other game features No. 23 Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, Fla.) and Highland (Gilbert, Ariz.) at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bishop Gorman High School.

Chaminade-Madonna joined the MaxPreps Top 25 rankings this week after beating Berkeley Prep (Tampa) 21-0 in the 3A state championship. The Lions went 11-1 this year and had notable wins over Buford (Ga.), Columbus (Miami), Edison (Miami), Gulliver Prep (Miami) and Seminole (Sanford).

Highland beat Chaparral (Scottsdale) 31-10 in the 6A state championship to give the Hawks their first state title in school history.
