Basketball Recap: Central Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Central rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the San Joaquin Memorial Panthers 66-63. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

It was another big night for Savana Chase, who went 7-for-13 en route to 17 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks. That's the most blocks she has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Chyna Roland, who had 16 points and five assists.

Central's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for San Joaquin Memorial, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-6.

Coming up, Central will venture away from home to square off against Clovis West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis West will roll in looking for their 31st straight victory, something Central surely won't give up without a fight. San Joaquin Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
