After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Harris County, Chaparral was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. They came out on top against the Pueblo West Cyclones by a score of  7-2. The  contest marked the Wolverines' most dominant  win of the  season so far.
The team  relied heavily on  Evie Smith, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Riley Weber, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Chaparral was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .450. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pueblo West only posted a  batting average of  .304.
Chaparral's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pueblo West,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-3.
 Looking ahead, Chaparral will square off against Arvada West at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Pueblo West, they will challenge Lewis-Palmer at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Cyclones' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rangers have averaged an impressive 8.5  runs per game this season.
