Attica saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Stockweather, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Stockweather is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Another was Blake Donohue, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
As for Pembroke, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Considering they have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
On Pembroke's side, Austin Humphrey made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Humphrey was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Brayden Lang was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Anthony Abbatiello was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Looking ahead, Attica will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Avon at 5:00 p.m. As for Pembroke, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Lyons on the 20th.
