Lakeview Academy and Horizon Christian Academy pushed the score to 19-0 the last time they played Horizon Christian Academy, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Warriors 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Lakeview Academy's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lewis Roberts, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win got Lakeview Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Horizon Christian Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Lakeview Academy and Horizon Christian Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Lions are set to take on their familiar foe Riverside Military Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Horizon Christian Academy will square off against rival Lanier Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
