Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for High Tech SD

Hoover came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against High Tech SD, but Poema Strong wouldn't allow it. The High Tech SD Storm narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hoover Cardinals 50-48 thanks in part to Strong, who went 9 of 22 on her way to 23 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ka'Mari House, who posted eight points and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 22 times she's played.

The victory was the third in a row for High Tech SD, bringing their record for this year to 8-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Hoover, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.

High Tech SD and San Dimas will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Hoover, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Hoover Cardinals duke it out with the Escondido Charter Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
