Arvada West has gone 9-1 against Ralston Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wildcats will challenge the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Arvada West is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Columbine, who was ranked fourth at the time (Arvada West was ranked 19th). The Wildcats took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels on Saturday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Ralston Valley came up short against Lakewood on Saturday and fell 13-9. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ralston Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Arvada West, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Arvada West skirted past Ralston Valley 5-4 in their previous meeting on September 11th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
