Basketball Recap: Upland Takes a Loss

Upland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 42-34 to the Chino Hills Huskies. If the Highlanders/Scots were looking for revenge after losing 52-29 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chino Hills was led to victory by Kaylee Salce and Brianna Franco. Salce almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds, while Franco posted nine points along with six boards and three steals. Salce is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Yoo, who scored 12 points.

Upland now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Chino Hills, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Upland has already played their next matchup, a 68-24 loss against Rancho Cucamonga on the 24th. Chino Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
