It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mt. Zion ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Tolono Unity Rockets 6-5. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Mt. Zion's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Fox, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Mt. Zion's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Tolono Unity, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Zion will host Taylorville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tolono Unity, they will face off against Charleston at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
