Recap: Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets vs. Mesrobian Bulldogs
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Bulldogs 62-31 on the road. Sacred Heart of Jesus' victory was all the more impressive since Mesrobian was averaging only 27.95 points allowed on the season.
Xitlali Botts was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 14 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Genevee Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
The win got Sacred Heart of Jesus back to even at 12-12. As for Mesrobian, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7.
Sacred Heart of Jesus will take on Adelanto at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sacred Heart of Jesus is coming into the matchup with four straight victories at home, so Adelanto is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Mesrobian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
