Recap: Hempfield Area Spartans vs. Penn-Trafford Warriors
If the Hempfield Area Spartans were feeling good off their 68-37 takedown of the Taylor Allderdice Dragons last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hempfield Area suffered a tough 66-41 loss at the hands of Penn-Trafford on Thursday. Hempfield Area has not had much luck with Penn-Trafford recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Penn-Trafford found their leader in underclassman Torrie Destefano, who scored 20 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elle Visco, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
Hempfield Area's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Penn-Trafford, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hempfield Area will take on Kiski Area at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Penn-Trafford won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Penn Hills at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th.
