Baseball Recap: Penncrest Comes Up Short

The Penncrest Lions came up short against the Devon Prep Tide on Saturday and fell 8-4.

Michael Simone and Gavin Bell did some serious damage despite the final result: Simone went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run, while Bell went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Penncrest's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Devon Prep, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Penncrest will challenge Strath Haven at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Devon Prep, they will host La Salle College at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
