Softball Recap: Worth County Rams vs. Brantley County Herons

Worth County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the Brantley County Herons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Herons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-1 loss on Thursday.

Worth County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laurie Pritchard, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Worth County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Brantley County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Worth County will challenge Bacon County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Brantley County, they will take on Ware County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Gators will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
