Charlestown is a perfect 10-0 against Eastern since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pirates will head out on the road to take on the Musketeers at 7:00 p.m. The last three games Charlestown has played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Charlestown is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Salem just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to the Lions. Despite 102 more yards than the Lions, the Pirates couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jovon Morris, who rushed for 116 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Christian Grayson was another key signal caller, throwing for 220 yards and a pair of TDs on only 18 passes.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Eastern's offense. They were dealt a 64-0 defeat at the hands of Scottsburg on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Musketeers in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Charlestown, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Charlestown took their victory against Eastern in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 33-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
