Recap: Howe Bulldogs vs. Bells Panthers
The Howe Bulldogs''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 63-14 loss at the hands of Bells. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Howe in their matchups with Bells: they've now lost four in a row.
Easton Helgren continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bells, rushing for 184 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Helgren's longest rush was for an incredible 89 yards. Hayden Allen and his 93 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Bells' victory.
Howe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bells, their victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howe will square off against Blue Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bells, they will head out on the road to face off against Lone Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lone Oak will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 754th, while Bells is ranked 263rd).
