Basketball Recap: Stephanie Ferreira Key Part of a Team Effort in Dragons Win

Bernstein posted their biggest victory since December 11, 2024 on Wednesday. They blew past the Contreras Cobras 50-26. With the Dragons ahead 35-9 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bernstein to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stephanie Ferreira, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance gave Ferreira a new career-high in points. Katherine Rojas was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Bernstein's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Contreras, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Bernstein and Contreras' offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Bernstein and Hollywood (who has only given up 29.75 points per game) will meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Contreras will take on Collins Family at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, a team that's only allowed 16.88 points per game.
