Basketball Game Preview: Prospect Panthers vs. Westmont Warriors

Prospect and Westmont are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Prospect Panthers will square off against the Westmont Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Prospect sitting on five straight victories and Westmont on three.

Prospect is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Monta Vista 48-46.

It was another big night for Sadie Slaughter, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Madison Kumagai, who posted 14 points.

Meanwhile, Westmont didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hillsdale on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 49-43 win.

Westmont's victory bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Prospect, they pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Prospect came up short against Westmont in their previous matchup back in January, falling 47-43. Can Prospect avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
