Basketball Game Preview: Norwin Knights vs. Upper St. Clair Panthers

The Norwin Knights will head out to face off against the Upper St. Clair Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Norwin is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Bishop Guilfoyle just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Marauders by a score of 53-50.

Upper St. Clair has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 45-38 to Canon-McMillan on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Big Macs are ranked 62nd).

Upper St. Clair's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-4. As for Norwin, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Norwin came up short against Upper St. Clair in their previous meeting on January 3rd, falling 63-53. Can Norwin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
