It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Screven County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Claxton Tigers, sneaking past 8-7. The win continues a trend for the Gamecocks in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Screven County's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Claxton, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Screven County is set to challenge their familiar foe Metter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Claxton will face off against rival Emanuel County Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
