Baseball Recap: Wayne County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Vidalia on Monday, Wayne County came back down to earth. The Yellow Jackets fell just short of the Chelsea Hornets by a score of 6-5 on Friday.

Wayne County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Chelsea, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Wayne County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-1 loss against Mill Creek on the 27th. As for Chelsea, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against South Walton on the 27th.
