Basketball Recap: Chavez Skates Past Elite with Ease

There's no place like home for Chavez, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They really took it to the Elite Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 38-4 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Titans just coasted through the last quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chavez to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aubrie Knighten, who posted ten points. The dominant performance gave Knighten a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paulina Sanchez, who earned eight points.

Chavez moved to 2-15 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. As for Elite, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Chavez has already played their next matchup, a 31-28 defeat against Gateway on the 30th. As for Elite, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 38-15 loss against Redwood Christian on the 30th.
