Softball Recap: Nevada Comes Up Short

Nevada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 16-0 to the Gilbert Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cubs of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Nevada's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Gilbert, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Nevada has already played their next game, a 19-0 loss against East Marshall on the 19th. As for Gilbert, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Prairie City-Monroe on the 19th.
