Preview: Nevada Union Miners vs. El Dorado Cougars
Nevada Union has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the El Dorado Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Nevada Union beat Stevenson 37-30.
Nevada Union got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Katie Enos out in front who scored ten points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Enos has scored at least 25% of Nevada Union's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari King, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, El Dorado earned a 47-35 win over Rio Americano on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for El Dorado.
It was another big night for Alana Schneider, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Schneider's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Emma Fulton was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Nevada Union's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-3. As for El Dorado, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Nevada Union came out on top in a nail-biter against El Dorado when the teams last played back in November of 2022, sneaking past 49-46. Will Nevada Union repeat their success, or does El Dorado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
