Soccer Recap: Luella Takes a Loss

Luella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Union Grove Wolverines. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 1-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of JAHLIL SCOTT, who's now up to three this season.

Luella's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Union Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Luella challenge the Forest Park at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Forest Park will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Luella surely won't give up without a fight. As for Union Grove, they will head out to square off against McDonough at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
