Baseball Recap: Archbishop Shaw Drops Season-High Score on St. Martin's Episcopal

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Archbishop Shaw). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the St. Martin's Episcopal Saints a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won four in a row.

Austin Amadeo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of D'Artainian Miller, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Archbishop Shaw pushed their record up to 16-17 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for St. Martin's Episcopal, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.

Archbishop Shaw will head out to face off against Archbishop Rummel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Martin's Episcopal, they will challenge Albany at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
