Baseball Recap: Oconee County Takes a Loss

Oconee County and Jefferson squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Oconee County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-4 loss back in March.

Oconee County's defeat dropped their record down to 25-8. As for Jefferson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-14 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Jefferson beat Oconee County by a score of 6-3 later that day.
