Basketball Game Preview: San Gabriel Matadors vs. Westridge Tigers

After both having extra time off, the San Gabriel Matadors and the Westridge Tigers will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for San Gabriel and five for Westridge.

Two weeks ago, San Gabriel was beaten by Santa Fe 58-12. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1126th, while the Chiefs are ranked 363rd).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-14, which was the final score in Westridge's tilt against Rio Hondo Prep two weeks ago.

San Gabriel's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Westridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
