Basketball Recap: Taft Skates Past West with Ease

Taft had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 42-point drubbing they dealt West on Saturday. The Wildcats blew past the Vikings 61-19. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Taft's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fynnley Arnold, who shot 64% from the field on her way to 14 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylene Nixon, who went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points.

The victory got Taft back to even at 2-2. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Taft will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stockdale at 6:30 p.m. on December 2. As for West, they will head out to challenge Del Oro at 6:30 p.m. on December 1.
